About me
Thank you for showing an interest in my work and if you have come this far you might well be engaged, so congratulations!
Here is a little bit more information about my wedding photography and me.
Cornwall Photographer
I was very lucky to grow up in beautiful Cornwall where my passion for photography began. After getting my first camera at 16 I didn’t look back and now live and breathe the world of photography. After studying photography at A-level I travelled across the border to Wales to continue my education at university in Cardiff.
I graduated with my photography degree in 2010 and moved back to the South West where I started my own business. I never grow tired of Cornwall’s natural beauty and there was only one place I wanted to develop my career. I have been photographing weddings in Cornwall and all over the UK ever since and now it is my most regular aspect of work.
What Else do I do?
I have never confined my photography to one specific area as I feel it helps broaden my skills and expertise involving myself in as much as possible. When I am not photographing a Cornish wedding, storm or beautiful landscape I am often working with some amazing Cornish companies be it Sharp’s Brewery, Bodyboard Holidays or Finisterre. You find see my general portfolio here.
Travel Photography
I began my photography career within the surf industry and have been lucky enough to go on photo assignments to Morocco, New Zealand and California. I love to travel and aim to see much more of the world in years to come.
Photography in London
After building a successful business in Cornwall I chose to expand my work to London. This has helped widen my portfolio even further, working on projects with exciting companies and brands such as Arsenal FC, Citroën and the Nobu Hotel chain. My heart will always belong in Cornwall and I am happy that weddings, family and other photo shoots take me back there regularly.
Photography Portfolio
As well as wedding and commercial photography in Cornwall and the UK, I capture lots of events, music concerts, food lifestyle as well as environmental and political campaigns. I have an eclectic portfolio to date and I want to keep it that way. I am proud to say I have won some well-regarded photography competitions and seen my work featured across the UK National Press and in some fantastic publications including National Geographic. I am also very proud to say I have been shortlisted at the 2018 UK Wedding Awards for Best Wedding Photographer.
My Photography Style
I see myself as a fine art photographer capturing things that draw my eye, noticing the little details others might not. I love to photograph as much as I can naturally in an unobtrusive, documentary style as I feel this is when you get the best photos. I am a perfectionist full of creativity and imagination. When necessary, I love to bring an image that is in my head to life. At weddings, finding the best light, magical scene or perfect backdrop is crucial and capturing a bride and groom’s memories is a responsibility I take a great deal of pride in.
